Friends of Abilities First is a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) that assists with the needs and expenses of people with developmental disabilities in Greene County, when there are no other funding sources available. Friends of Abilities First also provides opportunities for inclusion where people live, learn, work, and play. Contributions to Friends of Abilities First help:
- People live independently in their own home.
- Promote employment opportunities.
- Access emergency funding.
- Obtain personal items.
- Provide scholarships for Art Inspired Academy students.
More importantly, Friends of Abilities First helps people achieve their dreams of a good life!

Silver Strands Celebration is an annual dinner honoring individuals and businesses in our community who make a difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Clay Shoot Fundraiser
Sporting Clay Shoot Fundraiser is an outdoor annual clay shooting event featuring 4 person teams. In 2023, the event raised over $7,000, and funds benefited individuals with developmental disabilities served by Abilities First.
